The Greatest Adventure Ever Had (or Journey to the West) - Part II

Author's Note: I must formally apologize for my intervention and written discourse here, but I am afraid that I have no other choice for it seems that there has been no written record made or journal kept by these two young-and-aspiring bodhisattvas during this, their most physically-exhausting period of their travels and travails.

What I am able to piece together from my sources is that the adventurers pulled up to the entrance of Tiger Leaping Gorge in a bus on the same day as the electronic letter was sent to his friend. They were then stopped and asked to pay a fee of 200 Yuan at which time our young sir asked the officials at the station what this money would be used for, but was unable to get an answer due to language differences. After which, they walked out and were met by a elderly-but-energetic lady by the name of Margo. She helped the young travelers with information regarding the trail and lodging for the night, coffee, and of course, a cookie for the young sir.

Whilst they rested at lady Margo's establishment they were introduced to one young gentleman by the name of Peter, who it turns out would accompany them throughout the rest of their time spent on this leg of their journey. The description of the man goes something like this: Australian-business graduate teaching Business English and similar such courses at a college near Beijing, fair-haired and fair-skinned, height and weight comparable to Mr. Andrew, and with a streak of rambunctiousness and boyish-impiousness which oft reminds me of Huckleberry Finn, Tom Sawyer or some other such character of Mark Twains.

And here is where I must leave you, honest and faithful Readers, as I have not been able to scrounge up anymore information from my research on their journey. For perhaps it must remain a mystery to us all as God intended it to be from the very beginning. No doubt the rest of their journey had an impact on their lives and those lives that they touched.

Respectfully,
